Things to READ.

Formerly known as the Ski Loft Residence and Warehouse, the main lodge was originally used to assemble skis in the ‘50s and ‘60s. Today the carefully restored triplex includes six spacious suites, each inspired by a local tree species. The lodge pays homage to the camaraderie of the original Seesaw’s, incorporating elements from the inn’s history that give the rustic retreat its unique charm and rich character.

Relax on the first floor in front of the fireplace and take in the Vermont vista from the lodge’s soaring floor-to-ceiling windows. Gather in the game room and eat, drink and be merry before retiring to the comfort of our thoughtfully appointed guest rooms. If you have any questions or need assistance, please don’t hesitate to text Guest Services at 802-856-8899. Staying at Lodge

The lodge is a versatile space designed to accommodate individual bookings or large groups. We kindly request that guests be mindful of shared areas and embrace the communal spirit of the main floor.

Getting IN Your Room

The four-digit code to unlock the main door will be provided to you by email (Please check your emails for a Pre-Arrival email from us). To unlock the exterior door from the outside, enter the code provided and wait for lock to unlock. Enter that door and you're now in the Mudroom. From there, the Oak Room is to your emediat right. Enter the same four-digit code to access your room door. The main outside entry door and your room door lock is programmed to automatically lock after a few minutes.

WiFi

Complimentary WiFi is available to all of our guests. The password for Seesaw’s Guest WiFi is “wonderview” (case- sensitive).

Coming and Going

Check-in begins at 4PM, and we’re happy to welcome you any time before 6PM, after which self-service check-in is available. Check-out is promptly at 11AM. Please text Guest Services when checking out.

Pets

Pets are not permitted in the Lodge. We are pleased to offer pet-friendly accommodations in our cabins for guests traveling with pets. Due to the communal nature of the Lodge, some guests prefer a pet-free environment.

If you have booked a Lodge room and will be traveling with a pet, please contact Guest Services as soon as possible to request reassignment to a pet-friendly cabin room. Reassignment is not guaranteed and may not be available for all dates. If we are unable to move your reservation, we may need to rebook your stay to a later date when pet-friendly accommodations are available.

Television 

Each bedroom is equipped with LED smart TVs so you can bring along your favorite entertainment account, whether Netflix, Hulu, Amazon or other systems. We do not have a "house account" to share. There are a few FREE options within the Roku system. 

​

Bathrooms

All of our bathrooms feature glass shower doors that swing in and out. Please be careful and avoid leaning on the doors for support. Bathtubs have spring-loaded drains. Just step on the drain to seal it, and step on it again to drain the tub. Please use the towel racks to hang towels for reuse (not for doing pull-ups). Hair dryers are found in the vanity drawers along with extra toilet paper. If you would like fresh towels, please reach out to Guest Services

 

Kitchen

We ask that guests booking individual rooms limit their kitchen use to quick meals. Please be considerate of your fellow guests when using the common space.

Guests booking the entire lodge are free to use the lodge kitchen and stock the fridge with their own groceries.

Kitchen supplies include:

Refrigerator/Freezer
Dishwasher
Toaster oven
Microwave

Wine Fridge

Electric kettles (for hot water only, do not use instant coffee)

Keurig coffee maker and complimentary pods
Cleaning supplies (under the sink)
Trash/recycling bins

PLEASE clean up after yourself to help prevent smells and critters.

Trash/Recycling

The kitchen features trash and recycling bins that are located in the island pullout. Be sure to carefully rinse empty food and drink containers before recycling to avoid attracting wildlife!

 

Storage

Please store your skis, snowboards, and bicycles on the racks provided outside. If you need to bring your equipment inside, we ask that you use the racks in the foyer and avoid placing any items in the window. We want to ensure that your belongings are secure. If you need additional locked storage, please reach out to Guest Services and we will gladly find a solution.

 

Windows/French Doors

All windows and only one side of the French doors can be opened or closed. To lock the one side of the French door from the inside, be sure to lift the handle up firmly to a vertical position and the lock will engage.

Please operate window shades gently. Use the circular pull to open and close the Roman shades. 

 

Fireplaces

To start a fire in the common room, please contact Guest Services. The upstairs gas fireplaces are controlled by a thermostat labeled “Gas Fireplace Thermostat” Located near the beds headboard. To turn the fire on, set desired temperature level (above current temperature display) and set the switch to “heat” or “on.” Before leaving the room or retiring for the evening, please turn the fire off or lower the temperature setting below current room temperature. Please be careful NOT to touch the glass when the fireplace unit is on or still hot.

Temperature

Each floor has its own Ecobee thermostat set for everyone’s comfort, with preprogrammed temperatures tailored to day and night. Please do not adjust these manually. If you would like to adjust the temperature, please contact Guest Services for help. In individual bedrooms, the temperature can be raised or lowered according to your personal comfort by the wall control.

 

Housekeeping

Seesaw’s Lodge is committed to ensuring a clean unit to make your stay enjoyable. Services are based on the number of nights within your reservation. 1-4 Nights – Rooms have an initial supply of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths.  Housekeeping will not enter your room during this length of stay unless additional services are requested. 5-7 Nights – One Refresh Service Cleaning is provided mid-stay without fee (upon request). Short Stay Refresh Service (upon request) optional cleaning is also available upon request for an additional fee. Cleaning supplies are located under the sink in the kitchen for any immediate needs.

Cleaning Fee of $50.00 per bedroom includes: Replacing soiled towels, emptying trash, replenishing soap and toilet paper as needed, cleaning of bathroom, and making bed with existing linens. Note that housekeeping will only be completed when the entire unit is unoccupied.

Guest Book

We would love to hear about your stay. Please feel free to share your memories, stories and experiences in our Guest Book and/or on our website under Seesaw’s Stories! Please know these Guest Books are a historical document that we will keep for ever! Please let us provide something for your little ones to draw on. Please reach out to Guest Services. 

 

Accessibility

The lower level of the lodge is ADA compliant. Please let us know in advance if you or your guests need an accessible room.

 

Safety

The Boiler room and Housekeeping closets are locked for your safety. Please do not attempt to open these doors. Boilers are propane gas-fired. If you smell gas, please evacuate the building at once and notify Guest Services immediately. Please note that the surveillance cameras in common areas and on site are for your security and for liability purposes. If anything goes missing, we can consult the footage; otherwise it won’t be viewed. In the event of an emergency, contact 911.

 

Policies

We kindly ask that you respect the following Seesaw’s policies:

Smoking Policy

Smoking is not permitted in any Seesaw’s Lodge buildings. If you smoke in a room or cabin, there is a minimum cleaning charge of $400.00.

Damage Policy

Please report any damage prior to leaving Seesaw’s Lodge. Although general cabin/room cleaning fees are included in your booking fee, Seesaw’s Lodge reserves the right to pre-authorize an additional $100.00 to the credit card holding the reservation. If our cleaning staff finds unsanitary conditions or excessive damage or beyond normal wear and tear, you will be notified of the total charges and provided with a receipt for additional cleaning and/or repairs.
